PARENTS at a Ribble Valley school have been asked to monitor the games and apps their children use.
The request comes in a newsletter to parents of pupils of Longridge CE Primary School after pupils accessed an unsuitable app.

A spokesman for the school said in the letter: “It has been brought to my attention that some of the children in our older classes have been going on the internet and playing on a certain game that in our view is highly inappropriate for their age.
“Please, as parents, can you monitor the games and apps that your children are using.
“Study the rating of a game carefully, often they will let you know if it is suitable for someone your age.
“Read the terms and conditions of the sites that your child uses and check if there are special safety features for kids.
“Set-up your user profile to include appropriate language and game content that is age appropriate.”
